Kove’s latest release, ‘Way We Are’, sees the MTA member moving his sound into new territories and doing it fantastically well. The track will be released on July 14th and is a sure sign of intent from the previously low-key producer.
The lead from the release sits at 128bpm and is guaranteed to be played at every festival and garden party this year. It’s pure summer vibes with a real gritty bassline – a perfect contrast that goes off in any set. Drum & Bass producers transitioning into House terrain usually deliver astounding outcomes, and this is no different.
It’s also great to see Kove offering a Drum & Bass version of “The Way We Are” which will sound far more familiar to Kove fans from back in the day. The flip, ‘Liberator’ is far more expected from the MTA camp with a heavy amen, prominent low frequencies and pure dance floor compatibility.
Variation in a single release like this doesn’t come by often. When it does – lap it up. Kove is sure to be the star of the future and as a starting point, they don’t come much bigger than this.
